Arnold W. Buescher, age 80, of Edwardsville, died at 7:43 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018, in Edwardsville. 

He was born Oct. 19, 1937, in St. Louis, the son of the late Oscar and Ella Clark Buescher. 

He married Louis Matchell on June 5, 1959, in Granite City. She survives. 

Also surviving are two sons: Timothy (Traci) Buescher of Edwardsville and Kevin (Barbara) Buescher of Los Alamos, N.M. and one aunt: Wilma Kuhn Bieser of Edwardsville. 

He worked for the Venice Power Plant for 22 years. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, the Illinois State Rifle Association and the Oath Keepers. He was an avid deer and turkey hunter. He lived on the family farm, which was family-owned for 99 years. 

There are no services.
