Cecilia S. Pingel, 86, of Madison, IL, born May 12, 1931 in Holoaloa Kona, HI, and passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Mary Queen and Mother Center, Shrewsbury, MO.

Cecilia work as a Cafeteria work for 20 years in the Madison School District #12.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph J. Pingel, whom she married on October 7, 1950 in Honolulu, HI, who passed October 30, 1980; father, Bartolome Alidon; mother, Josephine Santos; son, Warren; sisters, Jennie Mangca and May Mina; infant brother and three sisters; and special friend, O. Joseph Mispagel.

Surviving are her children, Walter B. (Carla) Pingel, Collinsville, Joetta Pingel, Maplewood, MO, Jocelyn (Mike) Harper, Granite City, Jacqueline (Louis) Arnold, Granite City, Jamie (Dale) Wilhelmy, Granite City, and Jenise Wilson of Collinsville; sister, Stella Alidon, Las Vegas, NV; as well as 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City, IL.

Services: Funeral 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at St. Mary St. Mark Catholic Church, Madison, IL. Burial in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
