In Loving Memory of
David Joseph Miskelley

David Joseph Miskelley, 68, of Granite City, IL, formerly of Madison, IL, born January 4, 1950, in Granite City, passed on February 3, 2018.

David retired as a Chemical Operator at Mallinckrodt Chemical in 2008. He was a member of C. F. U. 222, UAW Local 1887, a Cub Scout Leader; Pack 96, also the Mid States Warrior Hockey Coordinator 1994 to 1997.

He was preceded in death by his father, Aimo "Whitey" Hakkarainen; mother, Catherine Spangler Carter Hakkarainen; and sisters, Sarah Mize and Cynthia Weidner.

Surviving are his wife, Debra V. Mezo Miskelley, whom he married on May 26, 1974, in Granite City; children, Heather (Ryan) Crisler of Bunker Hill, IL, and David (Crystal) Miskelley Jr. of Granite City; grandchildren, Shelby and Dane Crisler, Alexis, Matthew, and Jaxon Miskelley; brother, John (Debbie) Hakkarainen of Granite City; sisters, Sandra Skinner of Stewart, FL, Robin Scaturro and Renee Patterson of Madison; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved fur babies, Ally, Missey and Kelley.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.

Visitation: Visitation from 12 p.m. noon until time of service on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City.

Services: Funeral at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018, at the funeral home. Burial in St. John Cemetery, Granite City.
