Dorothy A. Koliste

Dorothy A. Koliste, 87, of Madison, Ill., born Feb. 10, 1930, in Granite City, Ill., died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, at Granite Nursing and Rehab Center, Granite City, Ill.

Dorothy retired in 1990 after 25 years as a checker at National Food. She was a member of St. Mary's, the U.F.C.W. Union, Polish Hall and Polish Roman Catholic Union of America, and the Greater Beneficial Union of Pittsburgh.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard W. Koliste, whom she married Sept. 3, 1949, at St. Mary's Church, Madison, Ill.; and her parents, Joseph and Vera, nee Rapsis, Krizak.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen A. Weber of Bridgeton, Mo.; a son, Leonard Joseph and wife Paula (Gushleff) Koliste of Granite City, Ill.; grandchildren, Ruthanne (Patrick) McBride of Collinsville, Ill., William L. (Lindsey) Koliste of Jerseyville, Ill., David W. (Jessica) Weber of Bridgeton, Mo., and Adam (Eve) Weber of Florida; and great-grandchildren, Elaina, Jordan, Gabriel, Eli, Jonah, Liam, Jackson, Jameson, Aiden, Hadily and Colton.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's Church, or as Masses.

Funeral: Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 25, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madison, Ill., with Fr. Jeff Holtman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, Ill.
