Frances L. Choat Novacich

Frances L. Choat, nee Novacich, 89, of Granite City, Ill., born May 28, 1927, in Madison, Ill., died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at BJC Hospital, St. Louis, Mo.
Francis was an Army Depot Transportation Specialist. She was a member of the Ladies Sodality "Red Hat Society".

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Choat, whom she married on June 2, 1962, at Resurection Catholic Church, St. Louis, Mo.; a son, Richard Choat; her parents, Nikola and Marica, nee Dugan, Novacich; her brothers, Mike and Pete Novacich; her sisters, Rose Ratkovich, Mildred Shifter, Anna Muich, Antonette Klobuchar, and Catherine Grbcich.

Surviving are a step-son, Randy Choat of St. Louis, Mo.; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Building Fund.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2016, at the church, with Fr. John Day officiating.
