Joseph M. Beljanski Jr.

Joseph M. Beljanski Jr., 59, of Granite City, Ill., born Sept. 11, 1957, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, in Granite City, Ill.

Mr. Beljanski retired from Granite City Steel in 2004, after 27 years as a heavy equipment operator. He was a member of F.O.E. Lodge No. 1063 of Granite City, Ill., and S.O.A.R.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph M. Beljanski Sr.

Surviving are his wife, Brenda K., nee Schmelter, Beljanski; mother, Kathleen, nee Halasey, Beljanski of Granite City, Ill.; children, Brian (Autumn) Powell of Johnstown, Colo., DeAnna (Daniel) Green of Litchfield, Ill., Heather Beljanski of Granite City, Ill., Natalie Beljanski of Granite City, Ill., and Joseph Beljanski III of Alton, Ill.; grandchildren, Amber, Brian and Barron Powell, Daniel, Drayke and Delaney Green, Olivia and Hayden Morris, Jude Ray and Carson Miofsky; sisters, Marie (Dan) Noeth of Mortin, Ill., and Patricia Beljanski of New York; brothers, Philip (Kathy) Beljanski of Pennsylvania, Kenneth (Megan) Beljanski of Maryville, Ill., and Brian Beljanski of New York.

Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, the American Heart Association or the Diabetes Association.

Visitation: Friends may visit from 4 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017, at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, 2017 at the funeral home.
