Marjorie Lee Wilkinson

Marjorie Lee Wilkinson, age 85, of Edwardsville, died at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017, at University Nursing and Rehab in Edwardsville.

She was born July 22, 1932, in Litchfield, the daughter of the late William and Frances nee Chaplin Howard.

She married Charles Wilkinson on May 12, 1968, in Edwardsville. He preceded her in death in September, 1994.

She is survived by her children: Joseph (Dee) Cooley of Tecumseh, Okla., Barbara Hacker of Edwardsville, Michael (Janet) Wilkinson of Hillsboro, Daniel Wilkinson of Highland, Diana (James) Hicks of Edwardsville, Tina (Bill) Harrison of Prairieville, La., Pamela (Ray) Pfeffer of Waterloo and Wanda (John) Howell of Wood River; one sister: Gladys Thompson of Alexandria, Va.; 34 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons: Charles Wilkinson and Robert Wilkinson; one daughter: Patricia Wilkinson; grandchildren: Brad Greenwood and Tammy Wisnasky and sisters: Elizabeth Wiess and Dorothy Kircher.

Mrs. Wilkinson was the manager of the Madison County Courthouse cafeteria for 20 years and retired in 1992.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7, at Saksa Mateer Funeral Home in Edwardsville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8, at the funeral home with Rev. Carlos Bryant officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Glen Carbon
