In Loving Memory of
Mary Gregus

Mary Louise Gregus, 97, of Granite City, Ill., born March 3, 1918, in Stallings, Ill., died Sunday, February 7, 2016, in Granite City, Ill.

Mary was a homemaker, and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Granite City, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Gregus, whom she married on Dec. 27, 1941, at St. Joseph Church in Granite City, Ill., and who preceded her on March 30, 1969; a son, Anthony Gregus; her parents, Benedict and Magdaline, nee Tessari, Dezan; a sister, Ann Fryntzko; and two brothers, John and Anthony Dezan.

Surviving are a son, George (Kathy) Gregus of Granite City, Ill.; her grandchildren, Amy (Terry) Taylor, and Beth Gregus; her great-grandchildren, Alyssa Waggener, Ashley and Dylan Taylor; a great-great-grandson, Landen Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Elizabeth Church, Tri-City Association for the Handicapped, and Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016, at St. Elizabeth Church, Granite City, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11, 2016, at the church, with Fr. Chris Comerford officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Glen Carbon, Ill.
