In Loving Memory of
Robert Neudecker

Robert Neudecker, age 92, died at 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.

He was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Highland, the son of the late Oliver and Floy Gatchel Neudecker.

He married Ruby Hawkins on Sept. 29, 1951, in Edwardsville. She preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters: Susan (Steve) Bartlett of Tampa, Fla., and Joan (Paul) Santoro of Collinsville; grandchildren: Lori Renee (Chris) Riehl of Maui, Hawaii and Michael and Nicholas Santoro of Edwardsville.

Mr. Neudecker was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Edwardsville. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Masonic Lodge No. 99. He was also a member of the Anaid Shrine, Legion of Honor and Edwardsville American Legion Post 702. He was also a volunteer fireman in Edwardsville for 50 years. He worked as a foreman for Shell Oil for 35 years, retiring in 1985.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Friday, Oct. 20, at Saksa Mateer Funeral Home.

A fireman's service will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. and the funeral will begin at 11 a.m. with Rev. Brad Thomas officiating.

Interment will be in Valley View Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to Shriners Hospital for Children.
