Stanley G. Hudzik

Stanley G. Hudzik, 90, of Madison, IL, born on October 19, 1927 in East St. Louis, IL, passed away Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at Rosewood Care Center, Edwardsville, IL.

Stanley was a 
World War II Veteran who had retired after 35 years of service at Laclede Steel. Stanley was a member of United Steel Workers, PRCU Lodge 1004 and Madison Amvets Post 204. He was an avid bowler and golfer; hole in one at Arlington #13.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Victoria, nee Krypciak, Hudzik.

Surviving him are his wife, Clara D., nee Plezynski, Hudzik, whom he married on June 19, 1948 at St. Mary's Madison; children, Joan (Raymond) Anderson of Granite City, Albert (Diane) Hudzik of Columbia, IL, Rose Ann (Ron) Jones of Granite City, Sandra Hudzik of Madison, and Anthony Hudzik of Madison; grandchildren, James and Jeffrey Watson, Elizabeth Heermance, Matthew Hudzik, Darren and Trent Jones, Andrea Mann and Jaclyn Hudzik; 7 great-grandchildren; and his brother, Edwin Hudzik of Maryville, IL.

Memorials may be made to St. Mary's or Masses.

Visitation: Visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at Thomas Saksa Funeral Home, Granite City, IL.

Services: Funeral at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Madison, IL, with Fr. Jeff Holtman officiating. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Edwardsville, IL.
